Music
At Tidbury Green School we aim for all our pupils to develop a life-long love of music, in a school with a musical atmosphere through a wide range of quality musical experiences and a progressive music curriculum which engages and inspire them.
Music plays an important part within our curriculum. We follow a music scheme, Sing Up, to deliver our music lessons to all our pupils. Music is delivered weekly to all our pupils by either the class teacher or our music lead, through PPA cover.
In Year 3 our pupils have the chance to take part in the hugely successful Young Voices concert. Throughout the year they learn a variety of songs which build to a performance at BP Pulse arena at the NEC in a choir of 6000 children. https://youngvoices.co.uk/
We are lucky to be part of the Wider Opportunities Programme. We offer whole class ukulele tuition to our Year 5 pupils, leading to a performance at the end of the year.
We have a successful choir which performs throughout the year. We perform at Touchwood, Tesco and at The Core Theatre, Solihull.

Rocksteady Music School
From Year 2 to Year 6 pupils can be part of their very own rock band! Rocksteady Music School are an external company who come into school to teach electric drums, electric guitar, keyboard and vocals. They have a team of trained musicians to come into school and demonstrate the joy of making music. Once parents sign up, pupils take part in weekly rehearsals during school time, with a Rocksteady band leader. The bands are taught their favourite songs to rehearse and perform to parents each term. If you would like to find out any more information or to book your child a place, then visit their website www.rocksteadymusicschool.com
