Meet our new staff
Hi, I am Miss Ashforth and I am really looking forward to being a Year 4 class teacher at Tidbury Green!
I have previous experience of teaching Year 4 and Year 1 and in my spare time I love to keep fit in the gym or go for long walks in different places. I also enjoy meeting up with friends and going on holiday when I can.
I’m Miss Hanif and I will be teaching the Seagulls class!
I have just completed a three year degree in Primary Education at Newman University where I had three highly successful placements in Year 4, Year 2 and Year 1.
My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, walking my dog and reading. My family and I are Villa fans so I also really enjoy watching the home games!
My favourite subject is English and I’m really excited to work with the children in Seagulls to produce some fantastic pieces of work. I am also hoping to run an after school book club where we will choose a book together to read and then complete different activities around the story – such as role play and artwork.
I am looking forward to joining a friendly and welcoming school and I am really excited to begin a new journey in year two.
My name is Miss Russell and I have taught Years 2, 3 and 5 before joining Tidbury Green.
My favourite subject is science because I love investigating the world around us and my specialist area is Biology.
I love reading and baking (as well as eating what I bake!) and I enjoy netball and have even been known to do a bit of Zumba.
My name is Gerry Donaghey.
I’m very happy to be joining the Tidbury Green Primary School community in my new role as Maintenance Assistant.
I have two young daughters and a one year old cockapoo named Margo, all of whom keep me busy at home!
