At Tidbury Green, we want every child to make the very best of their time in school. That’s why we expect all children to be in school every day, when they are well enough to attend.
Every lesson, every story, every playtime and every chance to learn with friends really does count.
We do everything we can to make school a place your child loves coming to—a safe, happy and rewarding experience where they can succeed. Good attendance is a big part of that success, and we are always looking for ways to celebrate and reward children who attend regularly and on time.
Of course, sometimes children are too unwell to attend and we understand that. When challenges arise, we will always do our best to work with families to support children back into school as quickly as possible. Please ask us for support if you need it.

It’s important to remember that parents and carers have a legal duty to ensure their children attend school regularly. The law is clear that missing school without good reason is not allowed, and the local authority can take action if attendance concerns cannot be resolved.
